Lauryn Hill – Just Want You Around
I was listening to her today and realized how much I miss having her music in my life. Her debut album is one of those few pieces of music that allows me to return to a certain point in my life where memories are extraordinarily persistent. Such memories are too painful or joyous for me to recount here but I welcome them wholeheartedly. I assume I can speak for millions of other people when I say that I echo the sentiments she laments in this beautiful song directly back to her.

Modern Update
The holiday was disdainful for me. Here is a quick-list recap:
Migraine on Friday, not fun.
Routine flat tire change on Saturday turning complicated because the lug nuts were screwed on too tight.
Minor fever on Sunday until now.
Tomorrow, Dr. Office.
It was not all bad, I had some great pizza on Saturday and met my friend’s pug, Jonas. He is the cutest thing. It made me want to get a dog but I don’t think I am capable of caring for another life.I feel that I would be too neglectful.
Tomorrow is also the release of Beck’s Modern Guilt. Great title!

I’ve been an internet junkie this weekend.
Trying to write a screenplay, read a novel, and learn Italian is not for the mindless. Sometimes, I’ll just try to shut off my brain and browse random websites and update this thing. In anticipation of their new album, I did find some good videos of my favorite band Sigur Ros to wash myself of some of that Coldplay residue (see earlier post.)
From many of the reviews that I read, their performance at Bonnaroo was magical. This video is off of their new album. I cannot wait until September when they bring their sound into these iniquitous parts.
